This blog attempts to cover aspects of football that aren’t covered in the mainstream media. In fact, it also attempts to cover things that aren’t already covered by other blogs. Hopefully you’ll be able to find something on this site that takes your fancy.

Originally this blog was located on wordpress under the title of “Mirko Bolesan”, Bolesan was an Italian footballer who made a solitary substitute appearance against Scunthorpe United for Cardiff City in the mid 90s. It seems to sum up what this blog is about, somehow.

  1. Hello,

Stumbled across your blog, as i was looking for a photo of Mirko Bolesan.

Since i’m a soccer stato i made a database to record every player who played at least one League, FA Cup, League Cup or other major competition match.
And guess what since Mirko made one subs app for Cardiff City he’s in there too 🙂

Trying to recreate the guys football career before and after Cardiff i gathered bits and pieces. In fact Mirko still plays footie at AC Genova in Italian Promozione (7th level) so he’s come full circle as he started as a youth player with more famous Genoa club.

So to come to my question. Would you happen to have a photo of Mirko i could use in my database?

  2. Unfortunately I do not have a picture of the great man! I’d obviously also be interested in seeing one.. However, I am very happy to hear he is still going strong at AC Genova.
